Doctor, Nurse, any worker in the NHS, burger flipper, they could be doing anything a Brit could be doing, not all aussies are sunbronzed surfers or lifeguards.

There are a surprisingly large number of Aussies on the Channel Islands, mostly in finance and law, as is the OP I see.

there isnt that many, i think around 3-400 and jersey has a population of 103,000 so we are quite the minority :)

In Jersey 303 out of 97,857 were Australian according to the 2011 census so 0.31% of the population. 113,592 Australian-born people in the UK with a total population of 63,181,775 so 0.18%. So nearly twice as many per capita :)

There isn't a NHS in Jersey, it has its own health service. I haven't met any Aussies in any other industry apart from lifeguards because they were brought over specially for that reason as they have the proper quals. Although, more locals now training up, I think.
