My name is Martyn.

Recently joined as we are planning to move to Portugal. We have had an offer accepted on a property and now am quite excited. The whole NHR tax rule changes have thrown a wobbly into the equation on when we apply - but that is a topic for the relevant forum

I took (early) retirement from a large multinational Fund Management firm working on global technology systems implementing many upgrades and new tech ideas. It involved some global travel between our offices in US and India with constant conference calls with regional offices. I decided it was time to spend time with my wife and so have some dedicated some 'me time'.

We are bee keepers and my wife is an avid gardener and is looking forward to the warmer climate of Portugal and what it can offer. We enjoy singing choral music and also music in general - going to music festivals. We like the outside though seem to spend too long behind a screen (even now).
