Heading Home
Hi,
Been in the US for 22 years and planning to move back home (that I still call the UK home is pretty telling). Bringing with me my adult daughter who has an intellectual disability. No other family here in the US so it makes sense to move.
Here I've been working for a nonprofit that helps families with a member with special needs, but won't have a job at first in the UK - scary. I also write and have a few books out but I don't make a living doing that (yet).
Hoping to get some advice on this site - going to start looking around!
Thanks for having me.
Trish

Hi Trish, thanks for stopping by to introduce yourself and welcome to BE
For planning a move back to the UK, this is the forum to go to https://britishexpats.com/forum/moving-back-uk-61/ You'll find lots of advice, questions and information there from people who've moved back after an extended period of living in another country. You can read other people's stories and the responses to their questions, and start a thread of your own to ask questions or seek advice. A comfy chair and a cuppa is recommended
Best of luck in your new adventure, looking forward to seeing you around the forum.
