Default Getting married in Spain

Hello - my friends would like to get married near Torrevieja in October 2014. Do any members have advice on how to go about this please?

Hi there and welcome to BE

You will probably get the best answers re-posting in the Spanish forums - Good luck with the wedding

Hi,

We got married here ten years ago. There was advice from the British Consul and you have to get your birth certificates, etc, validated plus a check on your actual status - no bigamists allowed

The process was long winded rather than complicated and we had to visit the consulate in person several times, which was difficult for us because of the journey to Barcelona in our case. It was also quite expensive getting apostols, etc. So the sooner they start the better.

Have you posted on the Spain section yet so that other's will see this?

Regs

Simon
