hi to everyone, took me a while to navigegate to here but .........i've got a couple of years apparently to find my way round ! We have just submited our 143 visa with the help of our daughters who have been in QLD for about two and halve years, we can't wait to join them, all being well.....Living in Spain now from uk. They put me on to this site as you nursed them through.............. " stuff"!!! and was highly recomended. Looking forward to meeting people going though same........"stuff"!!! as us. cheers

Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself but as this forum is purely to welcome new members to BE...it would be appreciated if you could repost your questions in the Australia Immigration Forum. Don't worry the regular members who post in the Immigration Forum will guide you through the process.

We have a great bunch of people who post in our Australia Forum....they will give you tips and advice on life Down Under. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The top forum is the Immigration Forum...the Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat. Also take a look in the BE Wiki...you'll find loads of useful info in there.

Before you begin posting please take time to read through the Site Rules and any stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

Alistairboyle is the concierge for the Australia forums...so if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums please contact him.

For all other concerns or problems please contact a moderator or admin. Every BE forum has at least one moderator dedicated to that forum...Australia has 4...Cresta57, Monneypenny20, Sonlymewalter and Centurion.

Hi Colin and Lyn

I see Jerseygirl has pointed you in the direction of all our Australia forums, where you will find lots of information about moving to Oz. I definitely recommend jumping in and posting on those forums, so if you need to ask any "stuff " questions ( like that description!) there are lots of good folks who will be only too willing to help you out. As well as that it's great fun with lots of banter and chat with fellow expats.

That just leaves me to say Welcome to BE and wish you good luck with your planned move.

If you find you need any help navigating around the site, just shout and we will do our best to help. I'm sure it will take you lots less than 2 years to find your feet !!

hi dread , everyone is being so helpful so thanks for that , also bobbie my daughter who is our sponsor has started a thread for us all too,...ahhhhh helping her old mom and dad!.....really looking forward to getting started and meeting new friends, i dont feel so alone now thanks to you all
