Australia is beckoning...
Hi everyone,
I'm in the middle of my five year plan to move to Australia (from UK) and starting to consider going to job expos and things like that to get a feel for the job markets etc. Something that has occurred to me is that I will be emmigrating as an individual and maybe should start making plans for meeting with other like-minded folk who are maybe at the same stage in the process.
So here goes, if you are in the preparation stages of making a move to Oz (in the next two or three years) i'd be more than pleased to hear from you.
I spent one year travelling up and down the east coast and can offer information about these areas (I lived and worked for six months in Cairns and six months in Tweed Heads).

Look up the "Forum Index" tab at top left corner and you'll see many Country/Region forums, incl Australian which is very active. You could post all your queries there and members will be pleased to assist. You could even make a few friends before you migrate

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
