Default Attempting move to Canada

Attempting a move to Canada where some of my family and friends are living. I'm 27 years old and a network engineer. I have almost all of the points needed but I need to do the TEFaQ exam which I will write on March 23rd. Look forward to sharing experiences with everyone.

Hi Jay, and welcome to BE.

Which visa route are you going down, is it via Quebec? I assume so from what you've said, but if you have any questions about the visa side of things there is a really good Canadian immigration forum which may be worth a look, and do come and join us in the main Canada one too.

Hope to see you there.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Hi Jay

Welcome to BE.
I would second Christmasoompa's suggestion of checking out the Canada forums where you can chat with expats already working and living in Canada. They will be only too happy to offer you tips and advice to help your move go smoothly - and it always helps to make new friends before you get there.

You may also want to check out our 'Working abroad by profession' section where there is a forum especially for engineering - you can network with others in the same profession as you. You will find this on the main forum index page in the section below the list of countries.

That just leaves me to wish you all the very best with your plans
