Another Wannabe Expat
Hi all. Found this forum very recently, so thought I would introduce myself. My name is Ann. I am a 61 year old divorced lady, currently living in the UK, but I also have had a house in Bulgaria for the last ten years and have lived there for approximately half that time, so I suppose I am a bit of an expat already. I love Bulgaria - people are great and I have a huge house with an equally huge garden, which takes some upkeep! However, the winters can get very cold, lots of snow etc, and I am seriously thinking about selling up and heading off to southern Spain, if I can find a small house with a small garden for my doggies, who travel everywhere with me on pet passports. At my time of life, I really want to be enjoying life, rather than being snowed in for a couple of months at a time, dealing with burst pipes and the like. I also studied Spanish for four years, a long time ago now but I am sure it would gradually come flooding back. Any suggestions re location etc would be very useful. I don't particularly want to be near the coast, and am not looking for swimming pools, just somewhere cosy for me and my fur babes to settle down.
