Hello Everyone. Having read the previous entries it is time for me to introduce myself. I am in the early stages of applying for a job to move to Qatar or AUE so hopefully, all turns out well. Anyone got any sugggestions/advice regarding problems living/working/permits etc in this area. Best get to know them now than too far down the line.

Regards

Clive

Hello Clive,

I'm afraid I'm out of my element in the middle-east. However, Jerseygirl and Sue will be by in no time to welcome you properly, and give you helpful links and useful information ... and they always know the right forum to post in to get the answers your looking for.

But until you're better welcomed, greetings from Ontario Canada!

With every good wish,
Christian

Hello Christian,

Thanks for our reply it is good to hear from ex-pats who have already trodden your future path (if that makes sense). I'm quite looking forward to my new venture, I've been all over the world over the past 30 years but never the middle east apart from a jolly to Egypt. Anyway, thanks again.

Rgards

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
