This is the welcome part to the site...you might have better luck either looking in the wiki for the country you're interested in, or searching out threads for the country as it's probably come up.

Hi, do you mean abbreviations in posts, or official ones as covered by the above link for example?
For the former, I used to google abbreviations like "btw", "afaik", ... with "acronym", at the beginning. Time-consuming but satisfying...
Can you give an example of jargon?
