I suggest you take a look down the list of countries in the Living and Moving Abroad forum and take a read through the threads in the forums that appeal to you. You could also take a look at the Working Abroad by Profession forum. Also take a look in the BE Wiki...there's loads of information in there.
BE is a large expat website...so it's understandable that you may have problems finding your way around our many forums. We have a team of concierges who will direct you around the website. You can find a list of their names at the bottom right hand side of this page.
For all other problems or concerns please contact a moderator...their names are located at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index page. Moderators' names are in bold font.
Before you post please read any 'sticky' threads or announcements that are posted at the top of each forum's index page.
Please give me a shout if you need any help.

Sorry to read you are soon to be made redundant. But it looks like you are being positive and planning your next adventure. I"m sure you will pick up some tips on BE.
Where abouts in Germany are you? I used to live in Hanover a few decades ago. I really enjoyed it, it was a beautiful place to live and plenty to do.

Hi Apollo
Welcome to BE - it's a pleasure to wecome someone who looks at the positive side and doesn't give up. Good on ya.
It is definitely worth your while checking out a few of the different forums to see where takes your fancy.
It may also be worth your while checking out the 'Working abroad by profession' section, which you will find below the list of countries on the 'forum index' page. There are forums dedicated to particular jobs, and also a thread where job vacancies are advertised in several countries. You never know there may be one which appeals.
Good luck with your decision

All the best Apollo and stay positive - not easy to do I know. I think most of us have faced redundancy at least once in our past lives, and it's not a good experience, but sometimes it turns out to be a blessing, kick starting something new. Very good luck to you
