Youth organisations

Hello. I've been here in Northern Michigan since August, married in September, have my interview for adjustment at the end of January and am settling in just nicely, so now my attention turns to things to do. I grew up loving my time in Scouts, Air Cadets and then the TA in my later teens. I quite fancy joining an organisation here as an adult instructor. Now i know they have scouts here but what other organisations like the above exist here in the US that as a non-citizen i'd be allowed to join?

Near any national parks? They often have ranger time things you could get involved in.

Also check out local library for any groups and events, chances are they'll have loads of info in the kids section and notice board.
