San Diego is one of my favourite cities anywhere, let alone my state.

I live in Kansas, and so far my favourite city is Lawrence. It's so laid back and relaxed, and it reminds me of a town back home.

I would have to say Memphis - I may have hit it on a good day (festival in Beale Street) but it had a great vibe.

We've taken several road trips:

LA > Vancouver BC (LOVE Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Napa, Seattle)

Colorado Springs > New Mexico > Texas > Oklahoma > Arkansas > Tennessee

Knoxville (TN) > DC > Annapolis > Kent Island > Baltimore

Vermont > White Mountains > Fryeburg > Kennebunkport > Salem > Boston > Plymouth

There are some beautiful towns and cities in the US. I love our local town too but, probably, my favourite city in the whole country always has been and remains San Francisco.

I live in Maplewood which I love as a place and for its 30 min NYC commute but it doesn't count as a city - more a village!

So for a favourite city in NJ it's got to be Princeton.

In Florida, I suppose my favourite city I have visited is Dunedin. It's almost an oasis in the centre of Pinellas county (the most populated county in FL). It is heavily influenced by it's Scottish heritage and retains a real commuity feel - which is something I think a lot of cities lack in Florida.

White/Black Mountains are lovely this time of year.

And that Salem, NH or the one in MA? Didn't really rate the one in MA that much, fun during Halloween, but a little crazy, but it's a little to touristy and meh rest of the time. Heard the NH one is nice but still not found the time to check it out.

It was in MA Bob and no, I wasn't much impressed either. I taught 'The Crucible' for many years in high school in the UK and I had this really romantic notion of Salem still being a small, now historic, town but it wasn't anything like that. I did like Plymouth Rock though

NH was fabulous!

What part of San Diego? I was put off last time I visited there when my parents came over to stay with us for a few weeks. There was an alarming number of homeless walking around, sitting outside stores, under bridges etc.
I suppose no more than L.A but i seemed to notice it more this time

Well I live in USA, California, What's the state of infrastructure in the U.S.? One easy answer is that it is getting old.
