Neither have a lot of people round here, they loiter in the vague vicinity of a stop, way back from the curb, and somehow the driver is supposed to know to stop. The idea that as bus approaches you need to step up close to the stop/curb and put your arm out, seems to be an alien idea to most people here.

Lol @ all the bus comments. 
Issue here is that stops are nigh on invisible / unmarked and even ones that ARE marked show no indication of what buses may stop there, or when, or where they might be going.

Neither have I for that matter
Most of the year it's too darn cold and in the summer we have better things to do
Well, at least that's my excuse. Did a lot of it in London though, and it was good fun! Even riding the trains was loads of fun.

That's because it's a free country. They don't have to tell the government what they are going. However, I hear that Obama may be coming into people's houses and forcing bus timetables upon them.
