I've only been here a year and I don't notice it anymore. I maybewoudif I had british family at home I guess, but as I don't, I'm surrounded by people saying totally, hella and dude. The same can't be said with locals andmy accent though. My wife found it most amusing when my 5 year old step daughter said something was rubbish the other day. Apparently, the yanks don't say that. Yeah, why does everyone try to intimate the accent all the time? They always get it wrong
