That's not the reason that she thinks you're weird.

Mayo on me burger, too. Bloody lovely

I used to work in a burger joint and most of us used to like dipping the french fries in mayo. In fact if you really wanted a treat you took 2 or 3 french fries, wrapped them in a slice of the burger cheese and then dipped the whole thing in mayo

Yes my wife buys that super thin ham. You do have to pile it up a bit.

Whats annoying is when my mother in law comes over and makes the sandwiches. She patiently spends time unfolding a single slice and spreading it out. One slice per sandwich, I'm not sure if she is being tight or she is just used to using one thicker slice of ham in the UK.

..... you are confounded that anyone would voluntarily use metric measurements in casual conversation.

I just can't bring myself to think in inches, they seem so inaccurate. I hate reading instructions that ask to use or measure something in sixteenths of inches FFS.

Lovely.

Still doesn't excuse the Mayo usage though.

You must have good eyesight considering that 0.0075mm is less than half the diameter of the thinnest human hair!

It's just annoying that the smallest unit is so big you have to divide it up so much, and since of course it's imperial those subdivisions have to bloody 8ths and 16ths. Urgh

It's grand to have proper measurements again. Feet and inches and knowing what they mean, none of this froggy metric crap.
