What kind of blocks? I don't beleive blocks of any kind were used in the construction of the WTC. ************ DAVE HATUNEN ([email protected]) *********** * Tucson Arizona, out where the cacti grow * ******* My typos are intentional copyright traps ****** |

Thanks There have been many articles on the web on the construction of the World Trade Centers. I suggest you do a Google search. The topic is quite complex. It was not built of "blocks". |

Thanks The PBS show Nova did an excellent analysis of the WTC collapse called "Why the Towers Fell," which of course had detailed information about how they were built. I don't think they used L-shaped corner pieces or any of the other gimmickry that was popular in the 1970s. Gotta wonder where they got that many black ones, though - usually you get a whole lot of reds and yellows and only a few blacks; they must have sold them off or thrown them away or stored them somewhere for a future project. Also they used the little people without the flexible arms and legs (i.e., shoulders and hips, but not as fun as the big ones with working elbows and knees). At least they still have interchangeable hair. miguel -- Hit The Road! Photos and tales from around the world: http://travel.u.nu New mini photo-feature: Life in DC: http://travel.u.nu/dc/ |
