Default World Cup qualifier upset

Allow me this probably short-lived celebration - Northern Ireland beat England yesterday 1 - 0. Although NI probably won't go through, with the tables the way they are, it was the first time NI beat England in 78 years according to the BBC (that would be more or less since NI was created).

Yay us.

Northern who? The only England game that matters this week is the one against the Aussies

Actually it was the first time N. Ireland beat England since 1972 - the 78 years refers to the last time NI beat England in Belfast. Still, a remarkable result, and you have every right to gloat. It's rapidly becoming apparent that the England team are just a bunch of overpaid wasters.
