Default working in states - tax implications

HI
Im a bit of a numpty about these kind of things but am looking at a contract in the states and not sure what the tax implications would be. If you could help it would be initially for just under year with everything being paid into a US bank and visas arranged by the agency.
Any help would be appreciated to make my decision......

As a ballpark figure, about the same as you pay in the UK. If you want to work it out in more detail, you'd have to consider federal, state (sometimes), local (sometimes), medicare and social security taxes. Then add health insurance on top...
