Working on Pre-Nup Agreement
Ok, time is passing so quickly, and assuming "therocks" makes it through the Gulf of Aden and the Suez Canal this week, he will be back here on April 14!
I have a couple of quick questions that I am hopeful the forum can address quickly.
1) Is a US will applicable in the UK, and vice versa? therock has assets in the UK, including pension which starts this year. Once we are married, if he draws up a will in the US, am I able to be the beneficiary of his UK assets?
2) If I am not a UK citizen, am I able to draw a widow's pension?
I know as a spouse to a USC and green card holder he can draw my social security benefit, and that he can also be the beneficiary on my will. Just wondering how it works in reverse?
Thanks

Re: Working on Pre-Nup Agreement
I've moved this to the General USA forum, where people might know more about these types of questions.

A will is enforceable where it's created.
Yes, if he names you as the beneficiary of his UK assets. If there's any doubt, he should draw up an identical will under UK law.
Probably, yes.
