Worker's comp. means tested?

Worker's comp. means tested?
In relation to the I-864, does anyone know if worker's comp. is a means tested benefit? I say no. Tell me I'm right.

Its Insurance
To protect employers from lawsuits resulting from workplace accidents and to provide medical care and compensation for lost income to employees hurt in workplace accidents, in almost every state, businesses are required to buy workers compensation insurance. Workers compensation insurance covers workers injured on the job, whether they're hurt on the workplace premises or elsewhere, or in auto accidents while on business. It also covers work-related illnesses.

No, it is not a means-tested benefit. It is a benefit derived from insurance not state/federal ~charity~. The insurance is usually paid for by the employer.

Is Workman's Comp a means tested benifit.
No - if the settlement is a lump sum payment for medical bills (this
is the usual case).
Yes - if the settlement is the right type, for example monthly check
'ad infinitum'. (not common but it does occur)
Workman's comp is 'insurance' paid by the employers to protect workers
while 'on the job'. There are different levels of coverage, but
employers usually choose the minimum required by law which is medical
only, but some coverage can include disability and long term health
care such as nursing homes... etc. Employers pay more for this type
of coverage.
Usually the Workman's Comp "Runs out" after a specified time period
and the burden is shifted to Federal SSI or State Medicaid in a rather
automatic paperwork fashion when the Workman's Comp actually
expires.
The answer to the question depends on the type of settlement
recieved.
