Hi

Hubby has a job offer around Worcester , never been haven't a clue if it's a nice area/areas to live.... Any advices please would be great

some friends of ours moved to Pershore last year, village feel but close to all amenities. I believe some areas can be at risk of flooding have a look on environment agency website link to flood areas think you just put in post codes.

I lived there for two years -- in the late 70s! Went to high school in Evesham. A brother still lives in Pershore and a sister in Charlton. It's a beautiful part of the country, not far but far enough from Birmingham. Very rural, lots of pretty little villages with odd names. True about the flooding inasmuch as Evesham and Worcester got it bad in last year's flooding.

As per previous posters Pershore is great lots of Georgian architecture but suffers a bit with the floods as does Tewkesbury but lovely medieval town
better to concentrate on Worcester suburbs then you have the best of both worlds close to all the shopping and facilities of worcester try a look at Kempsey, Earls Croome, Defford etc
