winehouse granted visa ....wtf ?
Well , I am amazed yet again with immigration and there so called laws , Amy Winehouse ,self confessed drug addicted parasite gets denied a visa , 2 days later its all sorted out ,how nice for her ,what about the people who really matter ? wheres the justice ?:curse:

The story was widely reported in the media in New York at the time. She's another one whose management company seems to be able to bail her out of trouble with the authorities. Despite damning film footage of her snorting coke the Met police found that there wasn't enough evidence to convict her....:curse:

Did you do that when model Kate Moss was and continues to be allowed in to work in NYC after being caught on videotape snorting cocaine in a London recording studio?

She's never going to get permanent residency under current legislation -- so we're not really importing them.

On the other hand - it seems fairly obvious that these women aren't intending to live here as immigrants, they are just after visitors visas which entitle them to work here briefly on business trips.
Likewise there are probably many US entertainers who go over to the UK on tours or for a couple of shows who have been taking drugs.
I often wonder how Ozzy Osbourne managed to live in the States with his history (which included convictions).....

Lets be fair here we can't single old winehouse out, most celebs that come to the US and get a visa are seen sooner or later sticking something up their noses' or going to rehab,taking god knows what drugs etc.
