Great video Silly Sod, the lake looks amazing, the thought of waves breaking over the ice in the distance sounds very freaky. Thanks for sharing and it was nice to hear a manc voice/accent again.

That reminds me of one winter when I lived in Keswick, Cumbria. The lake there (Derwent water) had frozen over so me and a bunch of mates had a wander out about a couple hundred yards. We were having a great time until we heard a bloody great cracking sound. Just about shat myself
We scarpered back to shore quick sharp and decided that getting drunk on some nasty martini drink was much more fun.

loved the video... nice hearing the accent...!!! lol.....i am supprised u didnt see the happy campers on the lake... Something i was gobsmacked about when i went walking.. all these tents on the lake.... they were ice fishing...... there is a town up here too on a lake.. but i heard that it wasnt frozen enough and lots of cars fell in.....god what i would give for sun now.... today ice rain and snow.. more snow.. lots of snow.... in europe we had heat free school days.. here we get snow days.... too bloody cold to go to school.........

I would think that this time of year, FL, GA, AL, LO, TX, AZ and CA might be better choices if you could pick...Give me a shout if you're coming thru Birmingham AL, drinks and dinner would be on me.
