Wimpy "Restaurants"

I've had their song in my head all day, so I just thought that I'd burden the rest of you with it too :)

"Come on over to my place
Hey you, we're having a Wimpy
We'll be grillin', choppin' and fillin'
Oh won't you come on over tonight
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"

I'm taking a wild guess that you're not British at all

Or maybe Wimpy was only in some parts of the UK?

Actually "Wimpy" was/is a UK burger chain and light years better than a McDonalds. They were clever enough to actually slightly toast the stale buns instead of just dishing them out .

Oh, and they served food on plates with knives and forks - a bit like steak and shake, except classier :)

true and they also serated the edges of the sausages to give them a kind of "Frilly" appearance.

We had them down south - they used to do a frankfurter sausage called a 'Bender' ...which is possibly why no-one ever wanted one in their mouth.
