Will UK Amazon Fire Stick work in the US?
Hi guys.
Simple question really, same as the thread title. I've had a look around the Amazon website and Google, but can't seem to find a definitive answer. Thanks. |

Just may need to buy a new USB to AC adapter unless your new TV has a USB port built in.

Thanks, Mercury39. Not sure why I didn't come across that when initially searching.
tom169, it will be a pretty new TV and I think most new models have USB ports built in now, so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks :-) |

Sometimes the USB ports on a TV does not provide enough power for a firestick. Mine works , but complains.

Hi, mrken30. Thanks for your reply.
I'll see how it goes. I'm sure I can do without it if it doesn't work. |
Re: Will UK Amazon Fire Stick work in the US?
We brought our Firestick with us in February but have ended up not needing it....once we moved to our new house & bought new TVs, our new US TVs are internet-ready, with the Amazon app pre-installed. Just login in with your amazon account & its the exact same....so the old Scottish Firestick is now lying gathering dust in a drawer!
If the TV is not internet ready then do as the above have suggested, just plug it in to the USB port. That worked fine for us in our rented apartment at the beginning. But one thing we did do...change your Amazon UK account to a Amazon US one, makes it easier. |

Thanks, drunner.
We're looking into the internet-ready TVs. And yeah, I saw on the Amazon website that it's best to change your location to US. Cheers. |
