Why you should not pay for a 'visa service'

We see so many posts here about "immigration specialists" and "visa services" who promise that they will deliver a visa to the USA guaranteed, and in many of these cases of people (wanting to live in Florida) we tell them to be very cautious, never to pay these folks as many of them are scam artists and do very little for the 'fee' that they charge.

Well here is a guy who did nothing--just pocketed over £3 million in fees and whatnot from folks wanting "a new life in Florida".

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...g-3m-scam.html

"A British businessman who destroyed the dreams of dozen of people hoping for a new life in America has been sentenced to nine years in jail.

Doug Hall was paid over £3million by British families seeking to move to Florida after claiming he was an immigration expert.

The 61-year-old promised his clients they would be issued with visas to allow them to work in the U.S., but instead pocketed the cash. "

One can find these kinds of cases with lawyers too. Its nothing unique to immigration specialists. See a list of disciplined lawyers here: http://www.justice.gov/eoir/profcond/chart.htm You may even find some familiar names.
