It is actually.
Many people have psychotic events on planes or when they are landing/at immigration. It's a stressful situation, which can trigger psychosis in predisposed people. Some people suspect that the jet lag/time difference has an effect on the dopamine etc receptors in the brain, inducing such situations.
I truly believe that it's nothing to be ashamed about or afraid of. Unfortunately, most people don't feel this way.

high voltage discharge into the systems electronics (okay its a small chance but it could happen). Now I'm only experienced in this sort of phenomena upto about 20kV and it can kill electronic systems dead. I'll have to go see if I can find the Boeing standards and see what they test too
