Where to stay in Montreal?

Hi all,
I need some advice about where to stay in Montreal. My hubby's immigrant visa interview is March 21st. We have stayed at the Travelodge close to the consulate but were not happy with it.

Any advice?

I couldn't remember the name of the hotel, but I did find it for you. It is
right across the street from the US Embassy. This was from an older post so
the rooms may cost more, but this is where we stayed back in 2002 when we
interviewed. You go to the side street to enter.
