Hey!

Anyone had issues getting passport photos when they renew their British Passport? I cannot find anywhere that does 45mm by 35mm photos. I downloaded an app to it and it sucked.

Any suggestions, I am going home for Christmas and need solve this issue fast

Some pharmacies have the right software to generate British passport-sized photos. .... I couldn't find one and just took standard US passport-sized photos and cut them down. My passport application (mailed and received in the UK) took 8 days earlier this year - mailed on Tuesday, received back on Wednesday the following week, so in other words it was processed without delay.

I've used Walgreens. They have settings on their machines for many countries, but their operators often don't know about them!

I tried arguing in two Walgreens locations, and gave up after deciding that life was too short to be bothered.

I used my iPhone, photoshopped them to the correct dimensions and then got them printed at Office Max.

I went to Walgreens yesterday and asked if they could change the size and she said no, I will try another walgreens (its not like I cant swing a cat without hitting one)

Just print them in the US size. Passport folks will resize them, as long as the rest of the specs are meant.

Though it is easier and cheaper to just do them yourself and use FREE Passport Photos by ePassportPhoto.com or similar and then go print the pic wherever you go print pics for a few pennies.

I had mine done about 10 days ago (CVS is unable to change the default size - 2in by 2in), Walgreens has a drop-down menu to change the desired size (they have the UK listed).

On a related note, I sent my passport in last week (it was delivered on Thursday afternoon). I received the return tracking number today, my new passport will be delivered by end of day tomorrow (less than a week turnaround time - very impressed!).

"Some" Walgreens - the local ones in my neck of the woods don't seem to have that option, certainly not on an easy "drop-down menu".
