where do your husbands family live? in Florida too? I would say you may want to be fairly close to them, it will be very tough moving so far from home and not having any support locally. Did you consider this? It was hard enough for myself with my husbands family nearby.
Also out of curiosity how did your husbands aunt sponsor his brother?

We are going over in march to see his brother and look at the options.
Are current status is this
We have 2 businesses here and about 60k in savings
if we sold our house we'd have about another 100k
We could also sell the companies for a realistic figure 250k (we may look to buy a company out there)
My brother in law owns a website development company in the US (not sure if that's relevant) I know when he moved there he was sponsored by their aunt (she had a billion dollar company) and their grandfather was an ex assistant attorney general who also helped, unfortunately they have both died since. We haven't discussed it with his family yet as we don't want to until we've decided on location
Soooooo that's my situation, not sure which visas will apply to us yet

E2 Visa is most likely route ....Naples Florida is beautiful...orlando is horrible

yes Naples is gorgeous but also very expensive and -depending on the type of business , geographically not great.

Mousetown is horrible, full of horrible drivers and terrible traffic! Ever thought of a bit further north? St. Augustine is beautiful, has two excellent outlet malls (plenty of shopping, well my wife keeps telling me that and my bank account concurs!), plenty of places to eat out, beaches, great fishing and a little "history". Plus it is only a couple hours to mousetown if you must get your disney fix.
