Hello everybody,

Does anybody have any suggestions of stores to try and find marmite, i only really like toast with this is on and as of now i still have not been able to find it anywhere.

I now live in Chevy Chase (friendship heights) in Maryland right next to DC (and i mean right next to).

Thanks for any help guys.

Hi there, I believe that there is a store in Old Town Alexandria selling british foods, not been there myself so i'm not sure of the name, maybe if you have a walk around at some stage you could ask? I always have had friends and family bring some over for me If all else fails there are heaps of online stores you can order from, gotta have my mate marmite

Thanks may try to get down there soon i had a look in bethesda today and didn't find it. Maryland looks beautiful really glad we moved here.

I don't live in the area but do you have any of the following near you?

I would check those stores for Marmite. Might be pricy but both stores sell a far amount of imported foodstuffs.

Annapolis - two 'Brit' stores - first one being on the Main Street, the Celtic shop, and the other being the British Shoppe in west Annapolis.

I've not found hardly any Brit goodies in the local Trader Joes...

Thanks a lot, went down there today and brought some. Quite a nice little shop, didn't work out too cheap by the time we paid for our tube fair though lol. Since then I went into a shop on wisconsin avenue today which is near where i live (5 min walk) and i found they sell it to for only 5.99 lol.

Well yeah we already had 6 Suitcases and 4 heavy carry ons we brought no food at all. It all worked out good in the end my mum sent me some and i found a store just down the road that sells it

Welcome to the area!

The odd posh Safeway sometimes sells it as well, and if you're ever in Frederick (aka Fredneck, although it's much improved since it got that name), there's a Brit store there that also sells it.

Also, maybe you'd want to join the Baltimore Yahoo Baltimore Brits meetup group . Alternatively, do a search- I think there's one in DC as well.
