Where to file my forms?
I've been to
http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/fieldo...htm#anchorOHIO looking to see where I should send in my forms and all. It says for Oklahoma the District is Dallas, TX, but the Sub office is Oklahoma City. Do I send this into Dallas or Oklahoma City? Also I was looking into the processing dates as well, and as the site above says I'd go through Texas, when looking at the processing dates, the fiance visa isn't shown. Does this mean that I'd have to send my paperwork to Nebraska instead? I'm so confused about all of this. Also, I've been through several sites, but if anyone knows of a site that just spells out exactly the forms and required documents to accompany them to get this all happening, that would be awesome if you could pass it along. My head is starting to spin here. |
Re: Where to file my forms?
Hi Nicole,
You are applying for a Fiance Visa, correct? Different forms have different offices of destination so I want to be sure. Re: Where to file my forms?
Yes I am applying for a Fiance Visa. Even on the I-129f form it says I
should send it to Texas if I live in Oklahoma. I was just confused by them not showing processing dates for the fiance visa through Texas. Re: Where to file my forms?
Have you checked this section of USCIS for processing times yet?
https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp The whole process is outlined on www.fianceevisakit.com but you seem to be aware of most of the information so far. Feel free to email me if you have more questions. Jef [email protected] wrote: > Yes I am applying for a Fiance Visa. Re: Where to file my forms?
I wanted to make sure I had the info correct so I went and pulled it
from the instructions: If you live in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia,Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico,North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina,Tennessee or Texas, mail this petition to: USCIS Texas Service CenterP.O. Box 850965Mesquite, TX 75185-0965 I noticed that the I-129F is not showing on the status track for TX but all other service centers are showing Feb, Mar and May. It's possible they are shifting all K1 work to these centers and you will find out when you receive your I-797 which one is yours for tracking purposes. Regards, Jef |

I find it appalling that you charge $49.95 for a kit, when the forms are freely available, the information is freely available, and folks can ask their questions here at no cost whatsoever... and with free access to information posted by (at least) two experienced immigration attorneys. But hey... I guess making money off the backs of the insecure is the American way! Why don't you come clean and let the good folks here also know that you also own a web site that promotes Russian brides... surely one of the greatest scams ever! Ian |

Ian In my opinion, this is outrageous! I agree - the information is freely available and quite accessible. And if you are a literate American, there would be no problem in helping your fiance/(e) with the applications, unless their language skills are so bad that: 1. A purchased application kit would not be much help either 2. You probably do not have much of a relationship with this person if you cannot even communicate, making your case highly suspect. But I guess people are free to publish such kits if they wish and if people find them helpful, then they will pay for them. I would not pay a cent for such things, but then who am I to say? |

Re: Where to file my forms?
The I-129F is always processed by the service center and not the district office.
FWIW, Never, Never, Never, obtain information on immigration via private e-mail. You have absolutely no way of knowing if the person you are corresponding with knows what they are doing and if you are given incorrect information, you and only you will suffer the consequences. If you don't have an immigration attorney and need direction ask publicly so if there is erroneous information given it can be corrected.

They are they to assist, if possible, if and when you hit a snag. They are NOT there to help you complete forms and tell you where to mail your petitions. |

You seem to be very interested in everything but answering this persons
question. As to your other comments, I don't think they warrant a response. ian-mstm wrote: > > Have you checked this section of USCIS for processing times yet? > > https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp > > > > The whole process is outlined on www.fianceevisakit.com but you seem > > to > > be aware of most of the information so far.
