You can't be a red neck unless you have an old car sitting in six foot grass on your front lawn

You might be a redneck if you own a home that is mobile but 16 cars that aren't.

You donate it, plenty of Charities advertising for old wrecks.

You then come up with an inflated value to claim against your taxes.

If you want to be really imaginative you donate your old executive jet to your local University, that scam was reported here a few weeks ago, claimed I think $700k against taxes and the thing is only of value to collectors, never thought of collecting them. University say it is not economical to maintain/insure/fly.

Actually, a lot of non-profit organizations advertise for donations of unwanted vehicles, at least in my area. e.g. my local PBS station, veterans charity, etc.

We have had to have our sons car towed to the dealership today. The car broke down when son was on his way to college this morning. Garage thinks it is the timing belt (expensive). We take sons and my car there for servicing as the dealership does that make (Ford). They are efficient and friendly and don't seem to charge over the odds and just try to do what really needs to be done without adding on extras. There is another garage in town where I got the yearly inspection done on my old car once. Worked fine going home from there. Next day, I tried to start it up and it wouldn't start. I don't think that was a coincidence. We have used the dealership ever since.
