www.farecast.com is pretty good, lets you know when prices are going up or down.

I mean they increase after 7 days prior to the departure because of the security checks...whether it is in demand or not. Always book at least 7 days ahead of departure.

Have you tried looking at last minute package tours to London from JFK...as opposed to flight only?

I dunno where...why would I want to fly to London?

Seriously unless you book in advance of 7 days before departure...you're going to be paying a lot more. On top of that July/Aug are the most expensive months to fly.

Post #31 of this thread was extremely undervalued and deserved way more karma.

I was looking at half that.

Squeek Squeek.
There are some organizations in Bogota who will pay the flight for you if you dont mind giving up a bit of luggage space to carry some souvenirs over for them.

just a thought, but if you munt it down to new hampshire, and fly to toronto, and then iceland air to london via another stop off in iceland will be about half the money, if you can be arsed to have that many stops.

I think those fares are pretty much normal for that time of year. Flying Newark/JFK economy to Manchester costs around $350/$450 return incl all taxes.
