I have done the exact same thing; left a bag but didn't figure it out till the day. I stopped by, went to Customer service with the receipt and being polite as possible I explained what happened; they told me to go get whatever was left and bring it back to cust service, where they rang it up, did their magic and said thank you, this happens all the time.

We had been shopping at Coscto and OH left a bottle of wine in the trolly in the parking lot got home no wine, went back to Coscto with receipt customer service to see if anyone had handed wine in. I thought fat change as it was a $13 bottle of wine. They said no, but give us another bottle of wine.
