Where is the best place to live?
Hi guys. We still live here in the UK but we're thinking of moving to USA for a better weather. It's absolutely lovely here but winter is ever so dark and summer is virtually inexistent.
I find Florida a little too hot and extremely humid in the summer. Not to mention their hurricanes.
I want lots of sunshine (year round if possible) and no gloomy days. But please don't recommend a desert. We love a comfy temperature - Ideal would be a year round temperature of between 15-25 C.
I'm thinking of California, but you may want to suggest something else as well.
This is just a starter. I've got a few things ask in the future.
Highly appreciate all your response.

Try looking at somewhere in southern Europe. It would probably be easier to get into apart from the language barrier. Listen to what the others are saying regarding visas.

As already pointed out you should also research the immigration issue, the wiki link that was given to you is the first place you should start reading.

Re: Where is the best place to live?
Hi,
We get a question like this nearly every day, and nearly every day we say the same thing--what visa will you have? Until you answer that question, then 'where to live, what to do, how to pack' etc are kind of moot.
If you do have the visa sorted, I'd recommend doing a google search on 'best places to live in America' and find the listings produced by FORBES magazine. They'll have it broken down by big city, small city, etc. It is an annual list and pretty informative.
Good luck.

I'd say California, closer to the ocean the better! A fantastic website to read about every City-State with honest opinions is:

The same question has come up time after time.
Good Luck!
