When should I start?
Hello,
I have about 3.5 years left on my H1B. I recently had to change a job. What is the
latest date by which I must start GC process?
I know that if GC has been started for more than one year, I can get extension
on my H1 even if 6 year limit is over. I think this rule needs atleast Labor to
be approved.
My labor will be filed from Philadelphia, PA - not sure if it is going to be an RIR.
what is the normal time LC takes?
Regards,
AZXML

Yesterday Don't wait to the last minute, you never know what could go wrong. When
I got my H-1B in 1993, I hoped to have my GC in a year or two - back then, it had
just started to break down. Instead, I ended up getting it in 2000!

And it also wouldn't allow for anything to go wrong, such as a layoff, or INS denying
the I-140 improperly.
