Beer, and if I need to kick-start a buzz, Stoli.

Beer and wine and sometimes a vodka and tomato (which causes confusion sometimes, because of the pronunciation and because its not my dinner and I don't want sauce and salt and pepper on it),

Here they call anything that has alcohol and a mixer, a cocktail, in my book a cocktail is some fancy shmantzy drink with odd ingredients.

Beer for me, mostly Guinness. I rarely drink now and I'm always driving so my US persona has one pint every fortnight if he's lucky.

Back home, I'd drink beer 99% of the time, but I liked wine too, or if the beer wasn't sitting well in my stomach I'd switch to vodka & coke. Anything but whiskey really, I hate whiskey.

I was also quite a fan of black Russians and white Russians; I'd get right pished on those

I really hate carbonation, so beer is out for me. I don't even drink sodas. I like the girly drinks, but my fave that I have on hand all the time is Baileys.

Southern Comfort with OJ is my fave but I try to save those for when the sky is falling in.

Outside of that Baileys or the new Tres Leches is just lovely

Get some real ale down you then (no bubbles)! Bit harder to find in the US, I grant you, but it's about...

Was at a bar last year and a guy persuaded me to try it with lime. It was soooo good. Have you tried that yet?

In California Margaritas or vodka & orange hate beer or wine. In Canada I drank vodka paralyzers, no one here has a clue what they are

So at home right now I have.

Red Wine
White Wine
Glenfiddich
Abelour (Cask Strength)
Remy Martin
Tawny Port
Tia Maria
Beer

So I guess my answer should be anything from Meths to Turps.

G&T sometimes with a slice sometimes without depends how daring i'm feeling.

Discovered that Tanqueray is a whole lot nicer than Gordons which comes in plastic bottles over here so technically a T&T

Beer.

Porter ideally, but stout or anything dark and malty will do too. There is a great British Brew Pub near here, in NJ, so I buy a growler to bring home as I have to drive. However, beer is only an option if it's good. In France I only ever drank wine (yummy!).

I also have a rather extensive collection of malts...
