What's in your Office?

So what kind of perks and stuff do you have at work? Free food, doughnuts, toys, that sort of thing?

My place just moved over the weekend, checked out the new digs last Friday, huge, stupidly huge, part of it use to be an internet cafe, so we've now got a nice kitchen/dining area, and there getting in a "proper" coffee machine to replace the kack Mr Coffee maker they have now, and it'll have a hot water tank for us tea drinkers apparently.

The soda's and bottled water will still be free...and they'll still be doing pizza fridays apparently, just need to find a new pizza place, thank god, the last place sucked...but they did break it up with some random food every now and again.

There also getting a pool table, which is nice...oh, and no more stupid key code entry to the building, so that's nice...but, I think I'd have liked more underground parking than what's available...but oh well...new gaff should be fun, even though my office wont' have a window, and it'll be shared with one of the loons of the place...interesting.

I've definitely seen some places offering some cool things for people, and think sometimes we're getting the short end of the stick in comparison, but overall, don't think it's too bad.

Bugger all! :D
However, at Christmas we get tons and tons of food related goodies from other offices that we refer patients to, I put on so much weight at that time of year! :o

It's ironic really because it's a dental office. We are a general practice and it's the specialist practices that send us goodies. It's always lots of chocolate, cookies, stuff that's really bad for your teeth! :D

When I'm not out in the field, I work from home. Which means I can wear my comfy clothes, listen to opera, keep an eye on BE :o , etc. etc.

Free coffee, lunch provided if you have a working lunch (which I hate!).

Not an awful lot really but if you read my intro in the meet and greet section it may become apparent why!

Free bottled water, free chocolate bars and crisps and the best of all... the Christmas week off as paid holiday, in addition to our normal holiday entitlement... as soon as I found that out I booked a flight home. :)

Ha ha my husband and his male colleagues liked very much something which was *outside* his office:

He works in Times Square, NYC and is on the 23rd floor. Directly opposite his window for a few weeks was a huge larger than life poster of a scantily-clad model promoting Victoria's Secret lingerie..... :D
