We had a pile of them in the garden last night, I could see them all flashing their arses before I closed the blinds. My sister was mesmerised by them when she was out last summer

Yep I love Fireflies too. In fact I think the wildlife is probably my favourite things about the US. Lots of critters that I've only seen before on National Geographic type programmes. It like being a little kid all over again for me.

Fireflies, yes - they're cool.

I like a lot of things in the USA, but the thing I like the most is the diversity in general.
Diversity of people, climates, foods, cultures, ... seems like everyone could find his place in this huge country.

Don't seem to find quite so many in my neck of the woods, which is a shame. Apparently there used to be loads, but now, only really see a handful if that.

I think they're really cool and be great to see more around.

Raccoons are cute, even if they are just big rats, with a robber mask, they are still cute.

They are very relaxing, just to sit and watch them light up in the evening.

My own inherent weirdness masks this kind of thing quite a lot.

I love the way a young mum & her little daughter just walked out in front of my car as I was driving out of the parking lot - they were so amazed that somebody else was using the road!

Bless!

Next time I just might not be so quick to bang on the anchors...
