Yeah, our Publix actually carried an American made chorizo ;Don Quijote' as I recall which was pretty good, but they claim they can not get it any more, though we can buy it at the Farmer's Market store in ATL. We did try the Portuguese as I recall, and it wasn't too bad either.
They also carry Jamon Serrano, Chorizo de Pamplona on occasion...and the best Spanish/European (marketed as Cuban or French of course) style bread we have found.

Fourth of July a few years back, went to a 'traditional' restaurant north of Scotsdale, Phoenix, AZ in the desert. Had' rattlesnake, tastes like a 'gamey' chicken. I quite liked it but my appetite wasn't helped by seeing a small 'trant' wander under the table. At this point my daughter went nuts...
