Just currious. Please post pics if you have em as it should be quite interesting to see the different places around the country.

1720 sq ft with a similar sized back yard. Pic to follow.

Things are big in Texas. 3950 sq.ft with around 2500 sq.ft back yard and 1500 sq.ft front yard...

...for the price of our nasty little 800 sq.ft terraced cottage in Surrey :scared:

4500sqft, very airy and expensive to heat and cool

Huge big back garden because this house was built 20 years ago, and land was not sooo expensive as it is now (kids cant be bothered with it, but the dogs love it)

Couldnt buy much in Aberdeen city for the price of this baby (maybe a 4 bed semi-detatched but defo no pool LOL)

But enjoying it whilst we are here

1600 squ foot Condo. Property is a little bit more expensive here in Wisconsin and we have high property taxes. Houses are generally bigger than the UK and lots sizes too, although that does depend on where you are in the city. The closer to the centre the smaller the properties (more like UK size but with basements). We would have bought a house but we never knew how long we were going to stay. Its been 3 years now so we probably should have bitten the bullet and just bought.

Maybe everyone should state whether they are living in a house, apartment or condo too to be more specific.

3000 sq ft (5 bed, 3 bath, triple garage) with 16,000 sq ft lot here in LA county. Pool is huge though and takes up most of the back yard. Patio is bigger than our back yard in the UK and the downstairs is bigger than our whole UK house was. We have used the dinning room 3 times and I have sat in the lounge twice

1400 sq. ft. 2 bed, 2.5 bath, plus a 2+ car garage not included in the sq feet.
One more room would be nice, but I can't really imagine what I would do with more than 2000 sq ft (no kids to make a mess).

Sounds more impressive when you translate it into cubic feet.

But Ray, you're far to much of a hard-ass for me to feel sorry for you.

600sf 1 bed, 1 bath condo 1 mile from the coast in northern San Diego - cost the same as a 3BR house in Cambridge UK!

The complex does have a fab pool, two hot-tubs, tennis courts and lovely gardens though.
