What's my house worth without the Lake?

What's my house worth without the Lake?
So you buy this beautiful home on a lake and……. The lake goes away!
Can you imagine waking up one morning and looking out at the lake and it's not there…
Well that’s what happened in Lakeland Florida to Scott Lake.
Crime Scene?
A sink hole opened up in the middle of the lake and all the water ...fell in..

Could be worse...it could have been your house or car in the driveway disappearing down the hole :scared:

Maybe it's a crime scene due to some of the "lost votes" from the 2000 election were dumped in there and now you can see them as the water disappears. Just a thought.

Florida has a habit of dropping bits into sinkholes.

They had the same problem here in the Springs a few years back drained completely to revel all sorts of crap, the usual shopping carts, vw car, etc etc... One of my friends even found a expensive ring.
They have fixed the leak and its refilled and restocked with fish now so all's good.

Just thought I'd add that a home built on the waterfront is worth 18 percent more than the same home in a landlocked location.
