Please keep this thread for questions about life in the USA...finances, medical, taxes, etc.
Visa questions should be asked and answered in our Marriage-Based Visa section.
Thank you,

Re: Moving to Florida
Yes but how do you make the OP go over to that forum if they're not active there?
Would it not be better to keep all questions by an OP in a single thread instead of being fragmented?

Re: Moving to Florida
I agree RICH.
It's tough trying to help at times when some questions get deemed inappropriate/irrelevant by someone external.
Plus, some postings don't fit into neat categories.

Re: Moving to Florida
No, the OP didn’t ask any questions about visas—but the folks who responded did. Noorah simply suggested that the OP might be better served to drop by the specialist marriage section of the forum when he is ready to find out about that aspect of his move. Seemed like a courteous enough request to me!

'Visa questions should be asked and answered'
No big issue but not really a simple suggestion.

Re: Moving to Florida
We already know that the OP is unfamiliar with the US retiree healthcare system as he used the term several times that his elderly fiancée is on Medicaid instead of what is usually Medicare. As David pointed out to the OP, Medicaid is for those who can't afford medical insurance and if this is so, then the OP will have mucho problems emigrating to the US.

Re: Moving to Florida
No need for an apology Noorah...it's just confusing at times that the type of questions allowed are so forum dependent.
Especially if the OP may be in a complex scenario with many possible variables that are not apparent immediately but forth come through aforesaid questioning.

Re: Moving to Florida
Seems exceedingly simple to me. The US forum has sub-forums. As the OP only has 3 posts to his name, asking him and those responding to him that are asking about his visa intentions to use the marriage-based visa forum, is simply the start of making this thread a visa thread.
You misunderstand my point, that Noorah issued an instruction, not a suggestion.
Anyway, never mind. Delete this if you want.
Some of us are interested and like to help regardless of which forum we find ourselves in.

Re: Moving to Florida
To clarify...the US Immigration forums are purely for questions and answers regarding US visas and citizenship. It is not to ask questions/give answers or discuss healthcare/insurance/what type of car to buy/the dog next door’s puppies etc, etc, etc.
If a member asks such questions within an Immigration thread, please ask them politely to open a new thread in the Main US Forum or Trailer Park Forum. Alternatively hit the ‘Report Post’ tab and request that a moderator sorts it out.
Thanks very muchly.

Re: Moving to Florida
As RICH alludes to...things just seem a little too rigid for no apparent reason.
But ok...try to stay within the guidelines.
Tamp those burning questions down..
