The only keys they do not allow are keys with transmitters as in most car keys. As with cell phones these transmitters could be used to detonate an explosion.

That's life in US and US buildings/establishments overseas. The folks here make the most simplest of things so complicated (without putting in place jack sh*t in terms of enforcing it or training people to enforce it), sometimes I wonder.

Yes it's a matter of safety and we live in terrible world blah blah but common, at least be consistent.
