It really depends what you are willing to risk if your boxes are opened at the port. We brought Robinson's Orange Squash and galaxy bars. If you are bringing over British game consoles then stock up on any games you would like. We had our move paid for so weren't bothered by the extra weight. The stuff I would have liked, I wouldn't have been able to bring anyway, like bacon! Officially things had to be owned by you for a certain amount of time rather than being new. We used all our leftover tesco vouchers for toys for the little ones birthday and risked them still being new and in the boxes.

When my dual national brother-in-law visits the US, be brings a stock of UK made Cadbury chocolate. Which is different than the Cadbury bars sold in the US.
When he returns from the US, or one of us visits him, we take over a stock of US made Oreo cookies.

We have a 'British' shop in Houston so we can usually find what we need/want at a premium. The only thing I cannot get for love nor money is proper Atora Suet, I can get the veggie kind but I prefer the beef for doughballs. I get my parents-in-law to smuggle it in (of course you are not supposed to but if they get banged up for suet smuggling it's no big loss ).

I will admit to being somewhat amused by the need for fat products from "home." While I was in law school, we studied this case in first year Contracts. I remember that the Professor pronounced the name of one of the parties as "roe-keech."

I wouldn't worry about it - focus on all the new experiences you will have rather than focussing on what you will miss. You'll find plenty of new exciting products like Krispy Kreme donuts and grits to replace all your old favorites.

Lovely, lovely bovril for my toast! I hate marmite and you can't get bovril delivered here because it's a beef extract apparently. I also miss the laundry detergents, they smell better to me somehow.

Interesting, I'm just now making a list of all the things I like to eat when I'm home for an American family who are moving to Edinburgh next year, so they can try them and email me and gloat about how good they are.
So far I have: Duchy originals shortbread, Christmas pudding, Mince pies, crunchies, curly wurlies, Mrs Tilleys fudge, Tesco finest Jersey cream, sausages, bacon, jaffa cakes, chocolate digestives, hob nobs, Percy Pigs from M&S, Gu chocolate pudding (with the Jersey cream), Sticky Toffee Pudding (with the rest of the cream), Nairns oatcakes, Chicken tikka masala, chicken Korma and St Peter's ale.

Clotted cream, and decent bacon. You can't bring clotted cream into the US though.
