What do you miss most about the UK? Apart from family and friends, what one thing do you wish you could magically transport over to the US?

Note most is food :)

I am actually in the UK but am considering a move to NYC for a year. So in answer to your question - I can't answer your question! I think most of what I would miss, though, would also be food - fish and chips, haribos, Walker's crisps.

Welcome to BE :) A year will be a piece of cake, but the one thing I truly miss more than any other is not having a lovely local Pub, where every body knows each other and just feels like an extension of your living room.

I know everyone will sigh and say not again :rolleyes: but I so miss M&S & tesco their pre-packed fresh food, for that couple of days a week you don't want to cook.
As all you can get here is frozen pre-made food and it's horrible!

Gone on then...I miss everything about M & S, Cadbury's chocolate, Brit. supermarkets, Brit. TV, Brit. humour, my best friend. I wasn't going to join this thread because it's all been said so many times before...but I couldn't resist. :p

I really miss the simple pleasure of a thick slice of crusty bread from the bakery spread thickly with lurpack....

No, if it's moving it's coming to Pennsylvania :)

I miss the NHS, Tesco and Asda, fashionable clothes and shoes and my hairdresser.
That makes me sound like a vain hypochondriac!
