I had to check your profile (despite your username) as I always thought of the Mustang as a girly car, based on the fact it's not really a driver's car.

You're opening yourself up to a bit of an onslaught there aren't you? I was under the impression women ARE allowed to drive cars...

Yeah, but women (in general) tend to care more about how many shopping bags they can get in the car, what it looks like and what colour it is. Men (in general) care more about handling, acceleration and all that good stuff. So, on that basis a Mustang is not really a man's car.

I had a '99 Mazda Protege I bought when I first came over here (intending to only stay for 3 years). I sold it in January on the basis we didn't need two cars. Of course, it was part of my plan to get the Speed3, which is now coming to fruition.

and a Mazda Speed 3 is a macho car? Its front wheel drive FFS..yes it might be fast but any one that considers themselves a "driver" would have a rear wheel drive car.

FWD is for women and hairdressers.

Fun to drive, and good value. Show me a decent rear wheel drive in a similar price range and I might change my mind.

Fun to drive?? You mean "easy" to drive. RWD is where the fun is at once that traction control and dynamic stabilty control crap is shut off.

There are no options in the price range for RWD, unless you know of something I've missed.
