Re: What to do???
I got my learners permit today, no mean feat for some people but for me it's a huge thing! I'm 32 years old and it's about time I learned lol! I only got one wrong, I was expecting to get a couple more than that wrong because of the way the questions were worded. Then my husband took me out to the park for a practice
Time to start changing things I think

congrats at getting your permit. Woohoo. Here's hoping your husband can get a secure job and you guys can move out of this horrible situation.

At least there's light at the end of the tunnel!
I'm sure just knowing that it will eventually be over is a relief.
We're all rooting for you.

UPDATE:
Hi all
I'm still learning how to drive, but I got my high school diploma last week I'm trying to see if I can get into college for the Fall to do my core studies, and then after that it'll possibly be Polysomnography (Sleep technology) or nursing, I haven't decided totally yet.
Hubby has a part time job now, not much but it is something, so we're feeling a little more positive about things. The rest of it is still the same, but I try to remember the old adage; "Don't let the b*stards get you down".

Keep your chin up.
How are they treating you?

Good to hear back from you Emma, and even better to hear you are making some personal progress. All the little positive things do add up to improve things in the ling run, so hang on in there and remember to keep on letting us know how it is going. One day you will look back at the list of good things in this thread and think "Wow! I/we did all that!"

Re: What to do???
congrats on getting your US High School DiplomaI remember taking GED classes many years ago. I have since lost my certificate so make sure and keep it safe! Sounds like things are moving forward and I am wishing you all the best in your new life in the US. I on the other hand would rather live back in the UK after all these years in the US but with the new spouse laws it's too difficult at the moment for us..
